Success Stories

Each of the Pitch Competition finalists has a project and a profile that are great examples for any woman (or man) who is interested in starting up a business or initiative.

Angela Cois
Angela Cois, the competition winner, is COO and co-founder of “LastRoom,” an app that allows users to make last-minute reservations at hotels in Latin America. Before she dedicated herself to this enterprise, she gained experience working in unrelated areas, such as education and international relations. Angela saw a need among the tourists traveling throughout Latin America and found a way to convert that need into a successful business opportunity.
Cecilia C. Calderón
She is the creator of DentiDesk, an application that provides administrative services to the dentistry industry. Cecilia found the key to the success of her project by satisfying the specific needs of a group, in this case, dentists. She focused on a defined audience while providing a quality service that was customized to their requirements.
Sylvia Chebi
She is the co-founder and CEO of Greentizen, an ecologically-focused social platform (website and apps) that promotes and coordinates sustainable actions with a focus on energy efficiency, allowing companies to carry out green campaigns. She is also the co-founder and executive director of ThalesLab, a company that provides support to start-up companies. In both of these roles, she demonstrates her entrepreneurial spirit and vision for business.
Ana Hornstein
She is the co-founder and COO of Fotter, a company that provides a complete solution for fashion companies that wish to develop their online presence through a low-risk multi-channel sales system. Ana successfully grew her business and currently works with many of the top fashion brands in Argentina.
Montse Piquer
She is the founder of Nidmi, a platform dedicated to facilitating contact between families and trustworthy helpers (babysitters, domestic workers and caregivers). She defines herself as a woman with an entrepreneurial spirit and ambition to out-do herself, generating new global business models that can help thousands of families and create thousands of jobs.
Yanina Baglieri
She is the co-founder of DineroTaxi, the largest taxi aggregator in Latin America. She is also co-founder of Technorides, a software platform taking the global transport industry by storm. She is a product and fashion designer and has contributed to various NGOs and personal projects throughout her career. She is currently studying marketing at the University of Social and Business Sciences in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and has strong knowledge of HR, management, and business strategy after having been part of a local investment fund.
